About the Journal

Aims and Scope

The Revista de Análisis Económico – Economic Analysis Review (RAE-EAR) is published by the Department of Economics of the School of Economics and Business at Universidad Alberto Hurtado. It publishes research articles presenting original theoretical or empirical results, in Spanish and English, twice a year, in April and October.

It welcomes work in theoretical and applied economics in areas such as economic development, economic history, labour economics, health economics, industrial organization, environmental economics, the economics of innovation, international economics, political economy, law and economics, finance, and monetary economics and banking. The journal has a particular interest in research that addresses economic problems in Latin America.

Readership

The journal is addressed to academic researchers, policymakers and professionals in the public and private sectors.

Selection Criteria

Articles are selected on the basis of their originality and the quality of the research. The editor may reject a manuscript without sending it for review if it does not meet the journal’s quality standards or does not fall within its scope. All other manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review.

Publication Frequency

The journal accepts submissions throughout the year and publishes two issues a year, in April and October.

Open Access and Fees

All of the journal’s content is open access from publication. The journal charges authors no fees for submission, review or publication, and all articles can be downloaded free of charge. More information in the Open Access Policy.
