Authorship, Contribution and Credit Policy
Purpose. The Revista de Análisis Económico – Economic Analysis Review (RAE-EAR) adopts the CRediT taxonomy (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) so that authors declare transparently the contribution of each of them to the manuscript, in line with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and of indexing bodies.
Authorship. Declaring a CRediT role is not sufficient for authorship. Authorship requires a substantial contribution to the work, approval of the final version and willingness to take public responsibility for its content. Those who contributed without meeting these requirements, for example through technical, language or financial support, should be mentioned in the Acknowledgements, with their consent.
Order of authors. The order of the authors is decided by the authors themselves. The journal does not require any particular criterion.
Contribution statement. When submitting the manuscript, authors must state the contribution of each author according to the fourteen CRediT roles, whose definitions are available at credit.niso.org. Each author must have at least one role; a role may be assigned to several authors and an author may have several roles. The statement goes in the title page, not in the anonymous manuscript. For example: Conceptualization: A. Pérez, M. Rojas; Formal analysis: M. Rojas; Writing – original draft: A. Pérez.
Responsibility and changes in authorship. The corresponding author is responsible for the accuracy of the statement and, on submitting it, confirms that all co-authors have approved the manuscript and the attribution of roles. Any change in authorship or in the statement after submission must be requested in writing, with the agreement of all authors, and requires the approval of the editorial team.
