Abstract

In this work I establish an analytical framework where to analyze the main elements in guiding allocation of resources when exhaustable natural resources are present. With this in mind, I examine several options to recognize, from an economic point of view, when a natural resource is virtually exhausted. It is clear at the end that more empirical studies in various markets are necessary.
